“Crafting dreams”

Patrizia Marti is Professor of Experience Design at the University of Siena (Italy) and at the University of Technology of Eindhoven (NL), Department of Industrial Design. She is Director of Santa Chiara Fab Lab, the digital manufacturing lab that is promoting research and education initiatives regarding digital handicraft, Iot and wearable design. Patrizia has been working for years in the design of interactive technologies in different sectors, from learning and special education mediated by robots to design of innovative technologies for museums, up to complex systems (transportation, medical-hospital sector), and she studies the social impact connected to the use of these technologies.

She was scientific reviewer on behalf of the European Commission in the FET- Future Emerging Technologies program and scientific supervisor of European projects. In 2013 she received the recognition for scientific merits of Honorary Professor at the Seogang College University of Seoul (Korea). Patrizia achieved a PhD in Interaction Aesthetics at the Eindhoven University of Technology.
